If your document contains graphics or other images, it would be better if given more information so that readers understand the intent of the picture. You give information to all types of images in the document.
To do this:
1. Select the graphic or picture that wants to be a description.
2. On the References tab, Captions in the group, click Insert Caption.
3. In the Label list, select the label in accordance with the objects, pictures or example mathematical equations. If the table is not needed there, click New Label.
4. Type a new label on the box label, and then click OK.
![]()
5. Type descriptive text you want displayed after the label.
6. Select the option you want, and then click OK. Word will insert the information as plain text, but the numbers remain as a field.
Word will fill description become standard text, but number will still become field.
